Honesty & Authenticity-Toronto Family Photographer

Sometimes in photography we are asked to photoshop, thin out, smooth out, slim, nip, tuck, add glow, straighten, whiten etc.

Sometimes we are also asked to perhaps do a pose that we don’t deem flattering, or a pose that may be deemed dangerous and unsafe.

Is the client always right? Do you always have to say yes even though in your gut you are saying a very emphatic NO?

No you don’t.

In business, just as in life, we are sometimes asked to do something that just doesn’t gel or it makes us extremely uncomfortable for whatever reason.

Or perhaps we are asked to do something that we don’t know how to do.

So if you are asked for something and don’t know what to do, do you fake it?

I don’t and you shouldn’t either.

I’m a firm believer that when you fake something eventually it will come back to bite you in the hiney.

Honesty in my personal and business life is always my best policy.

That said, I feel that Arlene Dickinson’s phrase  below really describes words to live by, not just in business but in one’s personal life as well.
